Dr. Sarah Agsten, DO
Dr. Agsten is an Oregon native, growing up in Sherwood. She earned her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California in 1995, and completed her residency training at Eastmoreland Hospital in Portland, Oregon in 1998. She has been practicing in Douglas County since 1998 and has been the owner of Family Tree Medical Clinic since 2002. She also served as a major in the US Army Reserve for eight years.
Dr. Agsten enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, running, and relaxing at her lake house near the beautiful Oregon coast.
Dr. Heidi Beery, MD
Dr. Beery is a Douglas County Native, growing up in Roseburg. She earned her medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 2007 and completed her residency training at Cascades East Family Medicine Residency in Klamath Falls, Oregon in 2010. After residency she returned home to Roseburg and began practicing primary care family medicine. She previously helped start the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency and previously worked as the Associate Program Director and the Program Director. As of September of 2023 She joined our practice as a partner.
She is board-certified in Family Medicine and currently serve as a board member on the Oregon Academy of Family Medicine and the Oregon Medical Association. As a family medicine doctor, she particularly enjoys seeing pediatric patients to elderly patients and an inclusive practice of people of all sexual orientations, and gender identities. She enjoys doing procedures as well as managing female gynecologic issues. She is also interested in lifestyle medicine and encourage her patients to improve chronic diseases, such as heart disease, obesity, and diabetes through a whole food plant-based diet.
She volunteers to facilitate the Lifestyle and Nutrition (LAN) program, a 13-week program that includes information about disease prevention, living a healthy lifestyle, nutrition, movement and exercise, mindfulness, and learning how to view and manage stress and vulnerability and lasting happiness.
